A & B WING FOUNDATIONAL COURSE TRAINING INSTITUTE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF TRAINING & DIRECTOR(AIM)

Training plays a vital role in administration. There are various training Institutes in a lot of government departments the state to impart specialized training relating to those Departments. The sole Institute that exclusively imparts Administrative Training to all state level officers in Tamil Nadu is the A & B wing Foundation Course Training Institute of Anna Institute of Management at Chennai which is also upgraded as Administrative Training Institute of Tamil Nadu. Imparting this training courses were since inception in 1976. and conducted at Civil Service Training Institute at Bhavanisagar till 1999. Thereafter the Foundation Training for the A and B level officers has been shifted to the Office of the Director Anna Institute of Management and Director General of Training, Chennai-28 situated in 161, P.S.Kumarasamy Raja Salai, (Greenways Road), Chennai - 600 028 on the basis of the recommendations of high level committee on training .
